Rooted in the Acadian Forest
Every Duskwood wreath begins here.
On our 70-acre property in rural Nova Scotia, balsam fir, pine, spruce and juniper grow together beneath the canopy of the Acadian Forest. This living woodland provides the natural materials, inspiration and sense of place behind everything we make.
Grown here. Gathered by Hand.
When the air turns cold and the Christmas season draws near, we begin gathering fresh greenery from our own land.
Branches are selected and cut by hand, then brought back to the farm to be made into wreaths, centrepieces and other seasonal greenery. Working in small batches allows us to use each species for its natural colour, fragrance and texture.
No two branches—and no two finished pieces—are exactly alike.
A Working Woodland, Carefully Tended.
Our woodland is more than a source of greenery. It is home to wildlife, native plants, old trees, young growth, wetlands and the changing rhythms of every Nova Scotia season.
We harvest thoughtfully, taking what we need while allowing the trees and surrounding forest to continue growing. The result is a working woodland that supports our farm without losing the wild character that makes it special.
50 More Acres Kept in Forest
In 2026, we added another 50 acres of woodland to Duskwood Farm. Rather than clearing it for development, we have chosen to keep it forested and incorporate it into the long-term care of our property. This additional land gives local plants and wildlife more room to thrive while helping preserve the natural landscape that makes Duskwood possible.
From our Woodland to Your Home.
After the greenery is gathered, every Duskwood piece is made and packed by hand here on the farm.
From our woodland in Nova Scotia to front doors across Canada, each wreath carries with it the fragrance, texture and quiet beauty of a real forest at Christmas.
A piece of Duskwood. A piece of Nova Scotia.
